Environment

We know that our everyday activities have an impact on the environment and that through our processes we are affecting the local and global well-being. We take environmental issues and questions seriously and try to reduce negative impacts to achieve sustainability in the environment that surrounds us. While doing this we follow the principle of working more preventively and not simply by using so called end-of-pipe measures.

Our ‘environmental tree’ represents our main focus on environment related issues.

Consumption of resources
We monitor our resources and reuse as much as possible and reasonable

Environmental awareness
By arranging training events and blending environmental questions into everyday work we increase knowledge, which is one of our  cornerstones

Past pollution
Old war factory where we are located left behind pollution that we eliminate step by step

Restricted and/or banned substances
We follow the rules and regulations of Estonian and EU legislation, for example RoHS

Waste handling
We sort waste by types and direct as much as possible into recycling. We have two environmental permits which determine the amounts of waste and pollutants that we are allowed to emit into the environment.

Handling of chemicals
We organise our way of storing and using chemicals so it does not cause any harm to neither the environment nor to our health.

Our organisation is participating as partner in an international project -   „Baltic Actions for the reduction of Pollution of the Baltic Sea from Priority Hazardous Substances“ (BaltActHaz/Project nr. LIFE07 ENV EE 000122) which is co-financed with the contribution of the LIFE+ financial instrument of the European Community and also by the Estonian Environmental Investment Centre, Environmental Ministry of Lithuania and Latvia.
